Gothic Design For Home

Gothic Design For HomeI dream of a home with Gothic interior design, which I love so much. The problem about Gothic design is that it requires large space, and includes many elements, which may be hard to afford. But I don’t lose heart, because as I have found out, you don’t need to make a cathedral of your home to make it look Gothic. You just need to apply some decor elements, and you will get the Gothic design.

First of all, despite the spread opinion, you don’t have to color your walls black. The idea of living in a black room doesn’t seem very nice to me. There are so many beautiful colors to use instead: dark blue, purple, ruby and violet. I want the walls in my room to be violet.

Next come the windows. Gothic pointed arch windows and stained glass windowpane are an ideal solution, but these can be expensive. As an alternative, you can make an accent on the curtain, which will be enough for a Gothic look. The curtain must be made from a heavy soft fabric, like velvet. Ruby curtain with golden prints will look fantastic and create the Gothic atmosphere.

Use a chandelier made of steel with wooden elements. You can find Gothic chandeliers in online shops. Some are very expensive, but there are also beautiful chandeliers with low prices to fit any budget.

Gothic furniture must be wooden and dark colored, with carvings and patterns engraved in it.

For getting a final Gothic look, decorate your room with Gothic decor elements like candles, tapestries and wall pictures. The most popular Gothic patterns are a four leaf clover and fleur de lis, so you can hang a tapestry or picture with those symbols. Also use accessories made of stained glass, steel and wood.

Gothic design for home will make it look mysterious, rich and elegant. You can achieve a perfect result without spending much, if you just choose the right decor elements.
