Nowadays waste is a great problem in most countries of the world. People continually discuss trash problems and blame everyone for the polluted environment, never thinking that they might be the ones who create such disasters.

However, there are some cities and organizations that care about waste collection and a clean environment. One such city is Yorba Linda in California, known for its cleanness and population who know how to keep their city clean and tidy. Yorba Linda garbage is being managed carefully and professionally, because city authorities understand the need for a clean environment and do their best to keep the city clean.

Yorba Linda has started a program named Yorba Linda Recycling which is an organized way of collecting trash. Little efforts and extra money are spent for solving the recycling problem.

Yorba Linda Recycling uses different types of containers for waste collection: black, green and brown containers. Each type has its own purpose. Black containers are for ordinary trash, brown ones are for yard waste and green containers are for recyclable items. These containers stand on wheels and are very light, so they can be easily moved from one place to another.

Robotic trucks are used for emptying the containers. That’s why you should always put waste inside the containers–if you don’t you might be fined.

California is really a very clean state thanks to waste management efforts. In my next post I’ll discuss the process of city cleaning and trash recycling in detail.
