Avoid Musty Odors
How to eliminate musty odor has become a big question in recent years. But this question has an answer. Musty odor is a result of dampness, and first of all it’s necessary to find the source of the dampness.
One of the causes of mold appearance is the water, so mold grows mainly in basements and bathrooms.
Another cause is the differences in temperature when relatively warm air comes in contact with a cool surface.
It is not a difficult task to escape musty odor–you should simply keep your house clean and dry.
In cool conditions the mildew has less opportunity to grow so it’s convenient to install air conditioners in order to avoid musty odors. Properly installed air-conditioning systems take up the warm air, thus removing the moisture.
When removing mold from the wall you should close all the doors and windows as spores may fly in the air causing health problems. Only one window can be left open so that the polluted air escapes. While cleaning you should remove the furniture so that the spores do not stick to them. You should protect yourself by wearing long sleeves and protective eyewear. Molds can grow again if the space is damp, so try to keep it dry.
Molds not only produce odor but they can cause health problems such as congestion, headache, asthma, allergies and difficulty in breathing. Some molds are even toxic.
So avoid molds and musty odors by keeping your house clean and dry.
