Arrange Your Trash According To Yorba Linda Recycling
If you read my previous post about Yorba Linda recycling, you already know what it is. Now I’m going to talk about what both residents and trash collectors are doing about waste collection.
In order to follow in the footsteps of the Yorba Linda recycling program you should do the following. Support your city’s recycling program by doing everything in the right way. In the previous post I mentioned that there are three types of containers: black, green and brown. So, let’s talk about how to properly arrange the rubbish.
Cigarette butts, cat litters, car parts, disposable diapers, drinking glasses, furniture, food waste, food boxes, plastic toys, window glass, wax paper, clothes, shoes, ceramic plates, glasses and toothpaste and cream tubes should find their place in the black container.
Green containers are for beverage cans, bottle caps, drink boxes, computer papers, egg cartons, brochures, aluminum cans, food cans, foam cups, frozen food boxes, jars and glass bottles, juice cartons, laundry bottles, plastic bottles, containers, cups and other plastic utensils, tin cans, used envelopes, pizza boxes, newspapers, magazines andphone books.
Yard waste like grass, wood, leaves, pruning, weeds twigs and small branches (4 inches at most in diameter and 3 feet in length) should be put into brown containers.
After arranging the trash in the containers, put them in the street at the edge of the driveway. Make sure the container handles face your house. Don’t place the containers close to any obstructions–keep them at a distance of at least three feet from cars or trees. Remember also that the containers must not be placed close to each other–the distance between them should be exactly one foot.
Trash is collected in your neighborhood every week on the same day. You should have everything done by 7 o’clock in the morning on that day.
So follow the Yorba Linda recycling example in your town and convince everyone there to do the same.
