I came across this photo of a bedroom on Flickr… it took my breath away. It’s a bedroom consisting of only one entire sleeping area and three windows looking out at a perfect landscape. I dream about having such a bedroom, and it would feel magical to wake up every morning there, in heaven…

Actually, if you want to have one, the most complicated part will be finding such a view and height. Probably the best place for it would be the roof. So you are one step closer to your dream bedroom if you have a country house with a nice view on a river, lake, forest, or wherever you love to be.

The second difficulty is the reconstruction of the roof, as it is the only place where a bedroom can look similar to the one in the photo. If the roof has a standard triangle shape, you can install glass windows and a skylight. If the attic is spacey, you can use the entire area as a bedroom or divide it to keep using a part for storage.

As a result your heavenly bedroom will slightly differ from the one in the photo, but will open a broader view for you. You not only see the landscape, but also the sky, so you can always stare at the stars while falling asleep, isn’t it amazing?

It is, of course, but you will have to work hard and spend enormous sums of money to do that. The special glass for the “ceiling” alone will cost a lot.

Everything is easier if your roof is flat. All you need in that case will be a kind of a wooden box with large windows, fixed to the roof. The plan of your house may not allow this kind of major roof reconstruction, and you will have to figure out a way of entering this bedroom.

To remodel a house is a serious decision that needs a lot of hard work, but it’s worth it when you compare what you have with the final results. As for me, I am already searching for a proper place for my future heavenly bedroom.
