Need A Bathroom Tub?

Need A Bathroom Tub?My husband and I have just moved into a new apartment. Since we wanted our place to have a  contemporary and well-designed look we made up our minds to redecorate it.

When it came to redecorating the bathroom, we had a hard time. First of all we considered bathroom ceramic tile. Bathroom tile design is always beautiful. Then we replaced our bathroom faucets and installed a new  ceramic sink. We were also tempted to replace our old bathing tub with a new one. There was such a large variety of tubs available both online and on the market that it was difficult to figure out which one to buy.

We considered online shopping since we didn’t want to waste time wandering from one shop to the other. Shop 4 Classic online company offered us a lot of bathroom tub materials: acrylic, wood, cultured marble, cast iron, ceramic and fiberglass. We came across clawfoot tubs, freestanding bathtubs, whirlpool bathtubs and so on.

While deciding on a particular tub, make sure you consider some factors. Make sure that it’s slip resistant. You’d better avoid sharp-edged tubs. I also recommend you to buy one with bright colors and beautiful designs: it will be more pleasant for you to soak in it. By the way, the material from which the tub is manufactured is also pretty essential.

In case you are undecided about which bathtub material to choose, I would advise you to choose a tub made of acrylic. Iron bathtubs can hardly prove to be efficient. At first my husband was tempted to purchase an iron bathtub but as a matter of fact they are prone to rusting.

Therefore I think claw foot tubs with acrylic can be the way to go since they are pretty practical. Clawfoot acrylic tubs are lightweight, easy to move and resistant to chips. If you have a two or three-story house, it will be easy for you to remove them whenever needed.

A bathroom tub is a must in any bathroom. My husband relaxes and regains energy in our clawfoot bathtub after a hard day’s work. I soak in it for hours covered with rose petals. Sometimes we soak in it together and meditate.  It soothes our nerves a great deal.

You have started a very interesting discussion on bathroom design. I’m a cabinetmaker who really does not want to make kitchens and bathrooms for a living, because the most of what is done in the US is just boxes with a “choice of doors and drawer fronts,” the most of which are made in a factory somewhere. Boring. I want to do something else if I can, but what?

European design just absolutely blows my mind, and I find myself reading quite a bit on it, even though these are often modular kitchens and bathrooms that one would simply send away for and have installed by a local craftsman. But what fascinates me is the utter innovation of those designs, so I find myself returning to them quite a bit.

I am also looking to design two bathrooms and a kitchen for my wife in too-small spaces in a tract home, which necessarily lets out those wonderful European designs that excite me so. And whenever I find myself going out on a limb with some idea or another, my wife always grounds me by saying, “If you stick with the classics, you won’t grow tired of them.”

So, what do you do that is different and yet timeless and practical and stimulating to make if you’re a cabinetmaker? Damned if I know, but if I ever figure it out, I mean to make it for us and splash those babies all over the Internet!

What you’ve written, though, has given me quite a bit to think about, and I thank you for sharing your concepts.

Some homeowners have replaced their baths with a walk in shower but soaking in a bath tub is a great way to relax. Therefore it is important that when you are shopping for a bath tub it meets all your requirements.

I am a big fan of the old vintage Victorian tubs. They are very contouring to your body and elegant and bring a great deal of character to any bathroom.
